North America Economic Integration Conference / iClusters Mapping Initiative (U.S. Department of Commerce, MUSEIC)

The North America Economic Connectivity Conference convened high-level actors on business, trade and economic development driven by the growth in consumer markets and supply chains in Mexico, Canada and the U.S.

The program included four panels that addressed strategies to promote economic development from different angles: a panel on clusters mapping initiatives on the border regions, led by federal agencies and partners; a panel on initiatives implemented by actors in Arizona to promote trade and connectivity with Mexico; a panel with leaders of businesses with presence in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico to share their experiences operating in North America; and a panel with presidents of business chambers in Arizona and Sonora on cross-border business opportunities. A special focus of the discussions was how to leverage the role of Arizona as a gateway to Canada and Mexico.
