Global Launch Intensive English Program

U.S. President Barack Obama and Mexico President Enrique Peña Nieto established the Bilateral Forum on Higher Education Innovation and Research. Arizona State University was one of the first American universities to respond to the "100,000 Strong in the Americas" initiative, which works with the Mexican government towards the goal of increasing academic exchanges. With one of the largest existing Intensive English Programs in the world, Global Launch was able to create an innovative English immersion program customized for Mexican students; the first group of students was from the University of Guadalajara. Students who learn English at ASU are able to enjoy an exciting campus life, become immersed into American culture and activities, and learn valuable English skills that will help with their future academic success. ASU has received nearly 800 Mexican English learners.
