Cuadriga: BoP House Painting Venture Project (Toluca Campus)

This project is focused on the creation of community owned and operated sustainable venture for the poor farming community of San Antonio Buenavista in Toluca Mexico. This venture called Cuadriga™ functions as a sustainable enterprise to help alleviate poverty by providing alternative low cost human-powered solutions to small 2-person house painting businesses. A small grant funded by the ASU Herberger Institute of Design and the Arts has led to the development of the world's first pedal-powered paint sprayer invented by graduate students and faculty of The Design School in partnership with Monterrey Tech's Toluca Campus faculty and students.
