Dr. Bruce Rittmann is an adjunct professor at Monterrey Tech in collaboration with the research group from Dr. Roberto Parra at the Biotechnology Center. This year a special call for bilateral collaboration between Mexico and the UK was published and funded by Mexico's National Research Council, for which a proposal was approved to develop networking between both countries in order to develop research in fields of sustainable agriculture, food security, tropical diseases, food supplements, functional foods, and waste management for technology development and commercialization. Ten professors from Mexican universities and from British universities, participated together with three companies interested in the topics in order to prepare proposals for the special call between Innovate UK and CONACYT.
