On Oct. 17 the ASU delegation visited Monterrey Tech Guadalajara campus. This visit was to continue and increase the long relationship between both institutions in the areas of student and professor exchange and faculty development. The trip helped establish a relationship between ASU’s Biodesign Institute and Tech’s School of Medicine at the Guadalajara campus, and between Thunderbird School of Global Management and Monterrey Tech to offer programs for Tech’s undergraduate students.

On Sept. 26 the Arizona-Mexico Commission, Salt River Project (SRP), ASU, and the Comision Sonora-Arizona organized the Arizona-Mexico Energy Forum at ASU, Tempe campus. Mitzi Vilchis, a secondary education major who graduated from Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College this year, was recently named a Fulbright grantee. She will travel to Mexico this fall to begin teaching English to schoolchildren. “I am still waiting for my official assignment to a state and city," Vilchis said, "but I am very excited about my side project that I will do while there,”
