Fruitbandit: Smoothie Maker Venture Project (Toluca Campus)

This project is focused on the creation of a community owned and operated sustainable venture for the poor farming community of San Antonio Buenavista in Toluca Mexico in partnership with Monterrey Tech's Toluca Campus faculty and students and ASU (The Design School and Globalresolve™). This venture called Fruitbandit™ functions as a sustainable enterprise to help alleviate poverty by providing alternative low cost human-powered solutions for fresh fruit smoothie making businesses. The Fruitbandit™ venture not only impacts the community by providing a micro-franchise small business concept but also have a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of the community through its educational component on the benefits of a low sugar, no preservative diet combined with daily exercise.
